Margie Hare, is passionate about inspiring people to take charge of their health naturally.
More than 20 years ago she became fascinated by Qigong, the ancient form of Chinese healing, which was little known in Australia. This completed her lifelong search for a way of life that combines healing and principles for living. It is called the Qigong life style. Qigong combines, movement breathing and mind intention together to bring balance and harmony to the body.
Since graduating as a certified Qigong teacher in the Tiandi Qigong school and had the honour of touring with Master Zhao, attending master classes in China twice, Margie teaches Qigong at numerous parks around Sydney .
Margie feels that Qigong is the cornerstone of health, wellbeing and anti-aging. No matter where in the world I am, I have the tools to fulfill my life’s mission. I am here to encourage and share with as many people as possible the different ways to take charge of their health naturally.
Margie will often be sharing her love for Qigong in our Embrace Life Festivals, with our next one being held at Dee Why RSL, Saturday 26 November.
In this video, Margie Hare demonstrates how to perform a great Qigong warm up body shaking exercise technique for all ages for relaxation and calming the mind.

In recent times, much has been made of the word and idea of gratitude but actually we can’t make or say enough about it.
We are taught from an early age that saying ‘Thank you’ is good manners and are reminded when we forget this simple acknowledgement! It seems to somehow smooth the energy between people and creates greater balance. Gratitude has its own frequency and when we and others are drawn into this frequency everything seems easier.
So given that using this simple acknowledgement appears to be universal and something that has been a part of the human experience since the beginning of time, let’s look at some ways to help us make this part of our daily experience.
Starting each day with gratitude is a simple way to set up the energy for the day. As you get out of bed and place one foot and then the other on the ground, saying the words “Thank” and “You” as each foot hits the floor. As you make your way to the bathroom, the coffee machine, the fridge or even the gym, chant the words (in your head!) each time your foot hits the ground. You will have given thanks many times before you leave the house and your day will be filled with flow.
Gratitude sends a message to the universe that we want more of whatever we are giving thanks for. This is good news as all we have to do is focus on what is pleasing us and working for us in our lives, give thanks and then we will get more of it. How simple is that!!
We all have times when our energy is flat, when we feel like there must be a turning we have missed, and gratitude is one sure way to raise our vibration and get us back on track. Looking for simple things to give thanks for is the key here. Nature is one sure way to find those things that delight us, as we can all relate to the beauty and majesty we are surrounded by. A walk by the sea, in trees or in a park will unfailingly lift our spirits as we let everything go and come into gratitude for the beauty we are experiencing.
Our senses are how we take in information about our environment and so using our senses as another pathway to gratitude. The scent of a beautiful flower never fails to bring uplifting feelings. The smell of our favourite food cooking evokes a similar response. The colours that the sky paints every morning and evening, are a treat if we have time to look. The sound of our favourite music, voices and language, also bring us to that space of gratitude.
There are many pathways to gratitude and we just need to be aware in our busy lives that this little ‘reset button’ is available to us in every moment. Gratitude will raise our vibration and make us feel like everything is possible once again.

Over the years, I have had many conversations with my guides and the Angels to relax, let go and “go with the flow”. It’s been a huge lesson for me, as a self-described Earth Angel and Empath. Being someone who is highly sensitive to people’s emotions and feeling responsible to help, fix and make them happy.
I had a long period in my life when I felt I had to be responsible for everything and everyone and control was hugely important. I had seen what happened when people didn’t control themselves or had no control, which made me highly anxious and fearful.
It’s funny how the need to control can creep up on you more and more throughout your life. I remember being a real care free child, who loved to feel free, have fun and go with the flow. But then life can change. Things happen out the blue, unexpectedly and don’t always go to plan. Over time, It can slowly start to mess with your confidence and trust. You don’t feel so secure all the time anymore and start to become more aware of what may go wrong.
That go with the flow attitude can slowly be replaced with stress, worry and fear. For some it can be a slow gradual process, but for others it can happen so quickly, with one defining moment when your whole world falls apart beneath you and destroys your trust.
When this happens, the common response is to go into “survival mode” where you become super sensitive and highly aware of danger, in an attempt to feel safe, in control and survive. It can go on for years, even if the trauma or stress happened a long time ago, your subconscious can be stuck in fear and “fight or flight”.
For me, being in survival mode, robbed me of the ability to relax, feel calm, slow down and feel safe. Not only in my own head with my thoughts, but in my body and environment too. I felt very trapped and confined in my head and in my life. There was no space to just be, take time out and relax without the non-stop worry, overthinking and control.
Going with the flow was not an option any more in my mind, as there were too many “bad” things that could happen and go wrong. It was now up to me to be on the lookout and vigilant all the time.
A very important part of my healing journey was to find a way to reconnect to “space” in my head, from my negative thoughts and fears. Also in my heart, from feelings of hurt, anger and sadness.
To have space from people, places and things that where draining my energy, happiness and wellbeing. To give myself permission to have some alone time, without feeling selfish or guilty was a big thing too.
That’s why I love Emotional Freedom Technique or “tapping” because it is so simple, but so powerful at helping you feel emotional and mental detachment and space from stressful experiences in your past, that can still feel so close and intense (visit my website www.letlovebloom.com.au for more information).
The space and freedom that comes from calming your nervous system, switching off your stress hormones and fight/flight response is so powerful.
Space allows you:
- To be aware of your breath, body and how its feeling (not just everyone else)
- To reconnect to feelings of lightness, fresh air, nature and beautiful Mother Earth
- To hear your Intuition and soul speaking to you
- To hear, sense, feel and receive messages from Spirit, the Angels and your Spirit Guides.
- To have freedom to choose what you do want and don’t want, what feels right and what doesn’t
- To create healthy, loving boundaries with people
- To breathe and just be YOU
- To switch off stress hormones and allow feel good hormones to flow, which allows your body to have vital “rest and digest
Creating a daily practice of alone time, has been so essential and vital to me. Especially helping me to feel safe to “go with the flow” again.
If you are an Earth Angel and Empath too, alone time and space will be especially important. Please check out my new online course “The Essential Guide For Earth Angels and Empaths”, which is filled with videos, audios, meditations, tools, tips and essential self care advice to help you Bloom.

Once we acknowledge we are empowered to create anything our little heart’s desire, we are living a purposeful life.
We have moved away from victim (life just happens to me) to Creator or as I prefer, Co-Creator. This co-creator mindset gives us the space to take ownership of our lives and to live happier more rewarding more on purpose and empowering lives and by so doing we become role models for others around us.
As I prepare to write this article or rather, ground a desire to share with our Gratitude community to be a conduit for a message intuited from a source greater than myself, I set the sacredness of the space I am entering by lighting a candle, some beautiful incense and put on some goddess music that has my hips rotating to allow my creative energies to flow.
Once I have set the space I am present to the message that will be spoken through me. This is a practice we can all use when honouring our dreams and earthing them into reality. A practice of co-creation.
I pull a card to guide my process and today I chose the beautiful Lucy Cavandish’s Oracle of The Drangonfae deck. The card pulled is “The Sovereign” – Gentle power.
In the first paragraph Lucy shares “It is not our desire to possess power, but to radiate it out in ever increasing waves, sending these seedlings of empowerment into the world, taking root in all your hearts. We do not hold on, we allow this power to extend out, to flow and to be yours, too”.
How appropriate for this article on Dreams.
As many of the Gratitude community already know we are living in a time of shifting energies. We are moving away from the single pointed focus, masculine energy to bring balance by expanding our feminine energies, our all-inclusive energies for the greater good of all.
When we look at this shift in relation to realising our dreams and desires it is all about collaboration. We are moving away from competition to offering our unique gifts and creating our dreams because they will serve a greater purpose.
Our world, our universe desires that we allow ourselves to dream and dream big. To honour the seeds of our hearts and to take the necessary steps to ground our dreams into our reality.
Lucy’s card suggests gentle energy, this is not forcing our dreams by being attached to when and how they will manifest.
It is about creating the picture of what we desire and giving ourselves the space to daydream.
A great time to do this is after we have given thanks for our day and sent love and light to all of our loved ones and are about to drift off to sleep. Allowing our minds to create the pictures of our dreams is a powerful tool that I have used for many years and I am often delighted with clear steps to take or an inspired idea, on waking the next morning. A much preferred option to worrying about things, don’t you agree?
When we are in the creation process it takes time to gestate, to grow healthy and to be birthed. The universe will check if you are passionately committed to your dreams by offering you a challenge or two, this can be mistaken for a test.
It is merely an opportunity of clarity and often inspires a greater commitment (or not) to manifesting your dreams. It is easy to mistake this phase as “it’s not working, or its not meant to be” check in with your heart, if this dream still resonates strongly with you, take another step, any step to convey your message to the universe that you do want to manifest this dream into your reality.
We are powerful creators who have all that is necessary to manifest our dreams, to live our passions and to encourage others to do the same.
Abundant Blessings.

Persephone is a beloved maiden goddess, who eventually became the Goddess of the Underworld. The Underworld represents our unconscious, thoughts or feelings that we may have suppressed or are unaware of. As a Queen to Hades, the King of the Underworld, she assists souls who have just passed over and needed guidance to orientate to find their way.
Now, of course when we read mythology, we don’t read it like historical or scientific accounts, they are all about the metaphors. Persephone being the Queen of the Underworld means she is very capable of navigating between her conscious and unconscious mind, or between the ego mind or her higher self. This is an incredible gift. As a goddess archetype, she is considered to be the Mystic and the Intuitive.
A goddess archetype is an inner pattern that we can find in a woman’s psyche. It presents her personality, interest, inclination, aspiration and often her behavioral patterns as well. We may have more than one archetype active in us at all times, but more often than not, we can see there is a particular one that is most active naturally or results from the current circumstances.
If a woman has Persephone active in her an archetype, she tends to be someone who is highly intuitive, sensitive and often introverted. She is often perceived to be eternally youthful and feminine. A young Persephone may come across as passive, compliant, a easy-going child, never makes any trouble or causes confrontation, often indecisive and unsure what it is that she wants to do when she grows up. But all that can change when a Persephone comes to mature.
In Greek mythology, Persephone was kidnapped when she was a young maiden. One day she was was gathering flowers in a meadow with her companions. She was attracted to an astonishingly beautiful narcissus. As she reached out to pick it, the ground split open before her. From deep within the earth, Hades (God of the Underworld) emerged in his gold chariot and took her. Persephone struggled and screamed for help, but no help came.
Demeter, mother of Persephone persisted in seeking Persephone’s return and finally forced Zeus to help. Zeus then dispatched Hermes, the Messenger God, to fetch Persephone. Hades agreed to let Persephone go, but before she left Hades, he gave her some pomegranate seeds, which she ate. And because of that she would need to spend one-third of the year in the underworld with Hades, and two-thirds of the year in the upper world, with Demeter. Had Persephone not eaten anything, she would have been fully restored to Demeter and the Upper world.
So often what happens to a Persephone is a sudden change of circumstance, it can be a tragedy, depression, illness in herself or in the family, loss of financial support, parental divorce or anything that feels like the rug has just been pulled under her feet. She may experience deep despair and that forced her to grow or mature, if she is going to walk through that dark tunnel. At the end of her Mythology, she became a mature powerful queen and goddess in her own right. She knows her purpose and she claims what she wants.
Many women who have Persephone in them often experience a big transformation when they are young and then grow to be become even more intuitive and with depth with her own life experience.
She is a very a special goddess, and if we embrace that archetype within us, we tend to become more honest with our feeling and sensitivity, and more in tune with our conscious and unconscious mind as well.
If you are interested to learn more about Goddess Archetypes, you may like to look into my new online course “Embrace Your Feminine Power and Goddess Archetypes”. You can find all the details here.

If I ask you, where does your intuition come from, what would be your answer?
Most of us connect intuition to the mind and the Spirit. If we think a little deeper, we may say the source of the intuition is the Spirit and the channel through which it comes to us is the mind. However, the role that our body plays in connecting us to the Spirit is given much less consideration. I feel that we miss out on many intuitive insights that come to us because they come through the body.
The society and culture that we live in loves hierarchy. Might I dare to say that the spiritual and holistic communities are also not completely free of this mindset. If we introspect very honestly, we will notice that we tend to rank the Spirit higher, then the mind and lastly the body. Although our body is what enables us to exist and interact on the material plane, most of us are seeking experiences that are transcendental – transcending the body – in order to expand our awareness. This, of course, is a valuable mode of expanding our awareness. However, it is not the only one or the better one.
Practice body-fulness
Mindfulness practices are very important and are much talked about and practiced. Rightly so! However, how about being more body-ful? While practicing meditation, many of us concentrate on our breathing to begin with, to calm and centre ourselves. Once we are calm and centred, we move our attention to the mind. Next time when you meditate, I encourage you to stay centred in and focused on your body through the entire meditation. Our bodies have tremendous wisdom stored in them.
Wisdom from generations past
Science is now coming to the conclusion that many ancient cultures and spiritual practices have known for ages. Our cells and DNA store the memories of our lifetime and they are passed down to offspring. We fail to acknowledge that we are connected to the collective consciousness, in a huge part, through our bodies and cellular memories, not just our minds.
How do I use body-intuition to go with the flow?
- Start valuing and loving your body: If you find this difficult, I can support you in getting to a place where you love what you see in the mirror! See below for details
- Start practising body-fulness: Incorporate a body-awareness meditation into your meditation practice, at least once a week. Really listen to the messages of your body
- Become aware of body-intuition: Practise becoming and being more aware of various feelings in your body – good and bad. These are your compass towards whether what you are experiencing in the moment is what you want to experience on a deeper level
- Acknowledge and respect body-intuition: Trust you body’s wisdom. Take action accordingly. Let go of control, if that is what feels necessary at the time. Go with the flow if your body feels good with that flow
Loving and accepting the body we are blessed with for this lifetime is one of the most empowering feelings. Yet, most of us struggle in doing that. If you have wanted to improve your relationship with your body but didn’t know how, my online course – Love Yourself to Ideal Weight – will take you on a journey towards loving your body, as it is NOW. And, as a bonus, your weight will stabilize at the healthy weight that is ideal for you. It’s a win-win!
We perceive the outer world with many senses that are often categorised into five physical senses and, similarly, we perceive the inner world with five intuitive senses.
Intuition is a way for you to sense energy and interpret the non–physical world. We have become so adept at explaining the physical world that we don’t give our conclusions a second thought and instead they become absolutes. But what if they are not.
What if, the outside world is a reflection of your inner world? In other words, it is a mirror showing you where you are holding yourself away from the life you want to live. We can interpret this through how we feel. If something feels off, if it makes your heart shrink it is not your truth. Leave it on the path of your life and just keep walking. If something touches your heart and makes it sing, this is your truth. Embrace this on your path of life and more will come to you. On a daily basis, we can often choose to believe another’s truth over our own, to fit in, be loved, accepted and not ridiculed. However, when we do this, it feels wrong because you have just split from your heart and soul. There are many truths, find what resonates with you and let everyone else find what resonates with them.
Your intuition is a tool from your Higher self that will point you in the direction of your truth. Your Higher Self sees the big picture of your life and is always steering you towards your dreams and desires. Intuition is within each of us, not just some of us. From within ourselves, we each have the capacity to read energetic information in our unique ways. When we start to understand the language of intuition, our creativity grows and we receive insights.
The Five Intuitive Senses
Here are the five top ways I have found to interpret the energy from your higher self. Clairvoyance, clairaudience, clairsentience, clairaroma and clairgustus. The word clair originates from France and means ‘clear’.
Clairvoyance – The ability to perceive energetic information in a visual manner often through the mind’s eye. Visions might come though dreams, fantasy or meditation.
Clairaudience – The ability to perceive energetic information in an auditory manner often through hearing and thinking. Messages might come through ideas, inspirations, a song or an internal voice.
Clairsentience – The ability to perceive energetic information through sense or touch often through feeling or knowing. Sensations might come through hunches or gut feelings or touching.
Clairaroma – The ability to perceive energetic information through odour or smell. Sometimes an odour is the best way to connect to something within us. This intuitive sense often accompanies one of the three more predominant intuitive senses above.
Clairgustus – The ability to perceive information through taste. The old saying “that person left a bad taste in my mouth” seems to explain this best. This intuitive sense often accompanies one of the three more predominant intuitive senses above.
As your intuition develops, you will experience each of the five intuitive senses to some degree and will understand how visions, feelings, thoughts, smells and tastes work for you. Everyone develops their intuition at different rates; trust your timing.
As you look within and clear stale energies that no longer serve you, it will be like cleaning out an old wardrobe and making room for new clothes to suit the new you. The frequency of your energy will change, so don’t be surprised if changes occur in and around you. You may become more sensitive to the vibrational world as you open up to fresh possibilities.
You may like to keep a Personal Intuitive Symbol Dictionary to build a database of your impressions. As your intuition evolves, the borders between your five intuitive senses will become less apparent, leaving you with “intuitive knowing”, your unique inner wisdom, that flows across all aspects of your being. Trust you, for you know yourself the best.

Did you know the greatest gift you can receive is not one that others can give you? It is a gift you give yourself and that is ‘being present’.
Teachers, gurus, and wisdom seekers speak of ‘being present’– but what does it mean in a practical sense? How do you do it?
‘Being present’ is bringing your full attention to the moment or task at hand. Most of us have been taught to multi-task so our thoughts and focus are far and wide. What if we narrowed the field to a single focus to let our attention rest where the work is being done?
I would like to share two examples of my experience of learning to become ‘present’. I feel it is not an act of achievement. It is a process and the more we practice, the richer our lives become.
Example No 1 – Wrapping presents for my husband to take to relatives in the U.K
In the afternoon I bought the presents, carefully selecting what I thought would be appropriate for each age group. The colour, design and type of wrapping paper was carefully considered. In the evening I wrapped the presents. There was no background music or television. I cut the paper with full attention, folded it neatly around each present and attached the sticky tape before naming each one. The present for my 90-year-old Mother-in-Law deserved a colourful bow, and the one for my daughter overseas earned a soft lace ribbon. I observed my actions with a sense of acute awareness. It took an hour or so to complete the task of wrapping all the gifts. That night I went to bed with the feeling of a job well done.
In the morning I realized the extent to which I had been ‘present’. As I contemplated the coming day, a sense of fulfilment from wrapping the gifts with full attention returned. Was it the joy of giving or was it the joy of ‘being present’? Probably both. I love the play on words of wrapping the presents while being in the ‘present’ moment.
Example No 2 – Attending a Sacred Anointing evening
A week prior to the event above, I attended a ‘Sacred Anointing’ evening with Jacqui Bushell and Jane Elworthy. These two wise women of the earth regularly host evenings of self-discovery. This one was particularly potent. They decorated a hall in Waverton, Sydney with soft lighting, lots of candles, and scattered Persian rugs. To me, it felt like a beloved community coming together in love and gentleness to acknowledge the divine in one another. In pairs, we took turns to anoint each other’s feet which were soaked in bowls of warm water with the addition of sacred oils and floating rose petals. The very act of ‘touch’ with sacred intent allows one to become present. The low whispers and gentle splashing of healing waters to the soft beat of a frame drum and exquisite voice in the carpeted space gave rise to ancient memories of the bath houses of Egypt. They had created a “moment” to be savoured.
Instead of rushing a task because you feel it is of little value, can you bring focus to what you are doing in that moment however simple the task may be? If we are distracted by what happened yesterday or worried about a future event, then we are not able to be present.
When we practice ‘being present’, our lives become richer and more fulfilled in every moment. Can you think of moments in your day when you can practise ‘being present’?
